Refunds & Disputes
Last updated: 9/15/2026
This page explains when you can get money back from MonkeyGo, and what to do if something goes wrong with an order or a charge.
1. Shop purchases (buying into stock)
When you buy an item in Shop, you're purchasing real physical inventory at its listed buy price. Because stock is limited and claimed the moment you pay, purchases are final once checkout completes — except in these cases:
- The item doesn't match its listed title, description, or condition.
- You were charged for an item that had already been claimed by someone else (a system error).
- The item never arrives to be listed and MonkeyGo can't resolve it within a reasonable time.
In any of these cases, contact us and we'll refund the buy price or make it right — whichever you prefer.
2. MonkeyGoGold subscription
MonkeyGoGold bills monthly. You can cancel any time from Settings — cancelling stops future charges, but we don't refund the current billing period already paid for. Your Gold benefits stay active through the end of the period you've already paid for.
3. Advertised Listing (promote an item)
The $20 one-time promotion fee is non-refundable once the promotion has gone live on a marketplace. If a technical failure on our end prevents the promotion from running at all, we'll refund it in full.
4. How to request a refund
Contact us with your account email and the order in question. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
5. Chargebacks and disputes
If something's wrong with a charge, please reach out to us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer — most issues can be resolved faster and more simply that way. Accounts with excessive chargebacks may be suspended pending review.
This page is a working draft, not a substitute for review by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before MonkeyGo accepts real consignments or payments.
